Scholarship Application Deadlines: March 15

Scholarships and other funding resources are given by the Department of Religious Studies on an annual basis. Please navigate to the appropriate undergraduate or graduate page to learn more information and submit applications for the 2023-2024 academic year. Only those who complete the application in its entirety will be considered for scholarships. Recipients will be notified of their awards no later than May 1st. Amounts of awards may vary by in-state or out-of-state tuition status.

FLAS Awards

Each year, the US Department of Education awards Foreign Language Area Studies (FLAS) funding to Area Studies Centers at the University of Kansas. FLAS funds are awarded in a competitive process open to KU and non-KU graduate and advanced undergraduate students to pursue foreign language and area studies for professional purposes.
