Biography

I serve two roles at KU. I am an academic advisor in the School of Education & Human Sciences for the Secondary Education and Sport Management majors, and I also teach as a Lecturer in the Department of Religious Studies. I grew up in Oxford, Mississippi before bouncing around the country to the University of Alabama, Florida State University, and the University of Notre Dame for my BA, MA, and PhD, respectively. My academic studies focused on religion and philosophy, and I lead courses at KU on the Bible, Jesus, and the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam). The best part of my job is working directly with students to discover and pursue their passions! Outside of my job, I like to play board games and video games, read fantasy and sci-fi, and watch movies. I am also a sports fan, especially college (Alabama and KU) and soccer (Sporting Kansas City and Liverpool Football Club).
